  • Target Audience:  County Extension Agents and master gardeners with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.

    Content: This is the Year 1, core curriculum on entomology that includes lessons on the most common insect orders, special information on cockroaches, ants, and flies, key publications, and integrated pest management basics.

  • Target Audience:  County Extension Agents and master gardeners with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service

    Content: This is the Year 2, core curriculum on entomology that includes lessons on the most common insect pests for turf and ornamentals, fire ants, insecticides and alternatives.

  • Target Audience:County Agriculture Agents with dairy production in their county and other extension faculty interested in fly managment in organic and conventional dairies.
    Content:Biology, Identification and IPM of the major fly pests in dairy production (house, horn, stable and face flies) are covered. Emphasis is placed on monitoring and IPM methods (sanitation, biological and chemical control)

  • Target Audience:  County Extension Agents and Master Gardeners with the University of Arkansas Cooperative Extension Service.  Others with little background in horticulture are also welcome to take the course.

    Content: This is the Year 1, core curriculum on horticulture that includes lessons on horticulture basics, ornamental trees, shrubs, groundocvers and herbaceous plants, such as annuals, perennials, and bulbs.

    Content:  Learn about the history of Extension in the South. Professor Randol Waters of the University of Tennessee is your host. This course has five modules, each featuring a narrated video, handouts, and questions to check your knowledge. A cumulative Course Exam is included. Videos are also available on CD-Rom for students with slow internet connections.

    Content: This course debunks many health myths and old wives' tales, while providing the student with the truth behind the myth.

  • Target Audience:  Family and Consumer Sciences agents with the University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture

    Content: This course provides very basic, foundational information about what gerontology is, statistics, myths, and perceptions about aging in the U.S.

  • Target Audience:  Extension personnel and volunteers who deliver educational presentations to a variety of adult audiences

    Content: Learn about the seven keys of effective educational presentations and how to achieve them. This course addresses how to determine needs, design your presentation, use personal attributes to deliver your presentation with confidence, and evaluate your presentation.
