Content: The purpose of this course is to create a working knowledge of the responsibilities of county governments, county elected officials, and Quorum Court members. Participants will also learn about the county government budgeting process and become proficient in accessing and sharing UA-Cooperative Extension Service county government resources with county officials and community leaders.

Content: This course will provide participants with an understanding of some of the critical issues facing county governments and the resources available from Community, Professional & Economic Development (CPED) to assist county officials address some of these issues. Participants will learn about the revenue and spending trends of their county and how counties can provide for needed infrastructure and services are given revenue constraints. Finally, the course provides guidance for developing your local government program using the resources and tools available from CPED.
